FantasyCon is the annual convention of the British Fantasy Society.
Every year, writers and fans of horror, fantasy and science fiction literature get together over the course of a weekend to celebrate their love of the genres, and to watch and participate in panels, workshops, readings, book launches and more!
At FantasyCon, you will see screenwriters, novelists, comic writers, artists, short fiction writers editors, agents and publishers talking about the business as well as the craft of writing and publishing. Panels start on Friday afternoon, run all day Saturday and into Sunday morning. And if you enjoy networking and socialising, we have an on-site bar, affordable food options, and have rented a nearby bar for those night owls who like to stay up a little later (details to come).
The convention moves around the country, and this year you can find it in Holloway, London, the one-time home of Edward Lear and Douglas Adams.
Membership for September 2020 has just gone on sale, and if you are among the first 100 people to buy your ticket you can get a weekend pass for just £55! See our Membership Page to join!
The highlight of the convention is the British Fantasy Awards ceremony (this year offsite at a location to be announced) and your FantasyCon membership gets you in at no extra cost! And as a member of FantasyCon, you get to vote in the awards, themselves!
